Click below to enlarge | FATBOY SLIM Yes, this is insanely hot! It's a one of a kind Evo 9 is SA and it wasn't shipped over from the land of the people that eat funny things, it was built up right here in SA. It was given the wide arch kit, the race interior and a monster motor kitted with the best that Cosworth has to offer. This is a track monster that really does hold it's own! Wide, wide, wide! RABID PUG! |
Click below to enlarge | KNGHT RIDER No, you haven't slipped back a few hundred years! This really is KITT, but the South African Version so it has a bigger engine. Seriosuly, the engine is the only part of the car that isn't original, but that will be rectified when the owner has some spare cash again. You won't admit it in public, but we know you want this car in your garage! Knight Industries Two Thousand! |
Click below to enlarge | KILLER INTENTIONS Yes it's tubbed, slick'd and pushing huge power, but you're still likely to see this thing on the street one day. Big work went into this car to get it to be a rear wheel drive running of a 2.0 16v turbo lump. Actually, it's seen some of the best work you can get, and it shows in the power figures. Hopefully we'll see it in action a race meeting soon. Drakkie FTW! |
Click below to enlarge | SKULL DUGGERY KZN's Powertek owner needed to hook himself up a decent ride, so he built himself one up, from scratch! This MR2 has seen work on every place possible from paint to interior to the motor. As it stands, it's a quick little car, but it's soon gonna be kittted with an even bigger motor so that it can compete at Sport Compact, but for now, it's a really cool toy, no pun intended! Fast & Furious! |

Click below to enlarge | MUSCLE BOUND Most chaps buy a Lumina and mod the engine, but they leave the looks alone. This Rustenburg guy was a little different. He went all out but making the car look really good on some power wheels. The main attraction is still the motor though, this thing's been ported, flowed, cammed, stroked and boosted! Power House! |
Click below to enlarge | VICIOUS CIRCLE BBA have pretty much outdone themselves again. This E46 M3 was stripped down then built back up with some very tasty performance parts. It will outhandle many a track car and even outbrake them too. It looks awesome thanks to the custom wide arch kit they made in-house for the car. There's actually not much on this car that hasn't been touched. Scrap that, there's nothing on this car that hasn't been touched! BBA Kickin A! RSR |
Click below to enlarge | BMW VS SUBARU TRACKDAY Open track days are growing in popularity, and they're attracting some seriously sorted street cars. We went though to this club challenge to see if the club members would represent - and they did just that! There were some wicked cars and thanks to the Open Class, some stupidly fast cars. Best of all, there were great drivers! Super Circuit Fun! |
Click below to enlarge | THE DIMPLOMAT Most toys have a history. Some start off as a basic mode of transport for daily commuting to and from work, while others start off as restoration projects. This cars history has a blend of both. Brandon received his Toyota Corolla as a gift from his dad when he had just finished school many years ago. Brandon had ideas and visions of what his ride needed to look like, all he needed was someone who would share the same passion and dedication as he did.He wanted someone who would not just listen to what he had to say, but someone who would improvise and help him better his own ideas, just so that he could have a one of a kind ride. Show & Shone FTW. BBA |
Click below to enlarge | DREAMWORKS GOLF Abinash Newaz happens to be the proud owner of this Golf Mk3 and one of his dreams was finally achieved after wining the IASCA SA Championship for Sound Quality Pro Street in December 2007. That’s right, the car you see gracing our pages this month isn’t just about the pretty install, it’s about its ability to kick ass on the competition circuit as well. |
Click below to enlarge | GUNSTON 08 For those who didn’t make it to attend this event, I just want to rub it in and inform you that you’ve missed one of the best IASCA semi final events we’ve had in a very long time. Those in the property market will tell you that the three most important factors are location, location, location. With that said, let me add that the folk from IASCA really out did themselves when they decided to host the event right on the beach front, across the road from Durban’s famous Coconut Grove. |
