Every year, Pitstop Motorshow tries to do something different, over the last 2 years at the Flamingo Casino the goal was to create a super chilled out vibe where the entire family could pull through and just enjoy the day. Last year, we got some amazing feedback, and just like the years before, we’ve taken it all very seriously.

This year proved to be a bit difficult with Mr Pitstop himself no longer being a resident in South Africa, which in turn left all the responsibility of preparation and organization of the event on the shoulders of Nabeela, who has been with the Pitstop team since the very beginning. This meant that the entire event was planned via Skype calls, emails and WhatsApp messages over a 3 month period, with Junior arriving only 1 day before the event to wrap up the final loose ends.

They decided to entitle this one: “Ballers n Babes Edition” and that alone gives you an indication of what the plan was.

Some say the stancers from the “Y” (Kimberley) have a deep love for this type of thing. The cars from this town are like deep undiscovered diamonds. Something you definitely do not see on a regular basis. None the less there seems to be an unspoken competition between these riders who own the streets by letting their rides do the talking. This proved to true, Although this year saw less competitors from the bigger cities, the locals as well as competitors from surrounding towns rocked up with a big number of new guys in the scene, many of which Junior himself had not seen or heard of before since his move to the Middle East.

Show-goers also had access to top class food and drinks, as well as the casino itself, where one could escape into air conditioned facilities for the whole family. Keeping the vibe upbeat and channelling the electric spirit of the stunning show cars, Mittah Entertainment artists were playing music throughout the show grounds, helping us dance the weekend away.

As the years before, the event, and over all vibe of the event was a relaxing day out with some prestige cars as eye candy on a hot summers day in Kimberley.

A big shout out has to be given to Autostyling Klerksdorp as they sponsored the most amazing trophies for the winners of the Show n Shine and Stance Warz competition. Not forgetting of course Sun Flamingo Casino and its team for the amazing hospitality and work ethic over the past few years. With that being said PMS has completed its 2 year annual event at this venue, and rumours have it that the Pitstop team have something big up their sleeves for the way forward with the Pitstop Motorshow. Junior has not let anything slip as to what exactly that is but I’m sure we can expect something really good.
