Richard Jordaan hits the Number 2 ranking
September 25, 2008 by Batty
The battle for the quickest four cylinder title has once again changed hands. As we all know, 2008 has seen a titanic battle between Nasen Padayachee in the front wheel drive Nascar Opel and the rear wheel driven Nissan Champ of Richard Jordaan, both chasing Louis Lima’s five year old 4-cylinder record of a 8,6 seconds. At the last Sport Compact, Nasen stormed to a record storming 8,74 seconds, a world class achievement for a front wheel drive Unibody vehicle, which placed him firmly behind Louis’ time. Yesterday though, things changed once again.
During Wednesday’s National Drag meeting, Richard Jordaan blazed through with a time of 8,72km/h. He ran an 8.76, an 8,75 and two 8,72s, a highly consistent performance. The scene is now set for the final instalment of Sport Compact where the two will finally clash and perhaps topple Louis Lima’s old record. The question on everyone’s lips will be: Will Nasen spring a surprise on the Jordaans and beat them to it?

Hi Guys !
I would like Nasen to be the first to break the record ! Reason is that Nasen has come a very long way and i’m talking from back in the day when he was still a Durban Boy ! i use to watch his Super Boss kick !@# back in the day and guess what ??? nothing has changed, Nasen is still breaking records and i feel that he should be the first to break Louis Lima’s Record !!
Everytime the NASCAR came out to play………..it didn’t play nice !! Well Done Nesan, i will be supporting you ! ——Good luck——- and i dont think you will need it !
How can you even compare the two cars
