Man what a year it’s been! There’s been loads of highs with all the great racing that’s taken place. No matter what your poison, there’s been something for you to enjoy. Our Sport Compact Series was a resounding success, it’s helped take the sport of drag racing up a notch. Tracks like Mad Dog and Black Rock are back on the scene making the old Wesbank Raceway pretty much forgotten. Drag racers have gotten faster in a short space of time. It seems the local boys know what’s what and having a 300kW turbo car is par for the course now. Track days have become the in place to be if you have a hot modified street car. Read more

This 535i is old school BMW porn, so cool that it should be wrapped in plastic. However Pieter Watkins has taken the stars off the nipples and exposed the motor for what it is, and what it can be with some tuning. These 535i models did a bit of racing in their prime but they wouldn’t be a match for this one. Under the hood is a turbo charged version of the 3.5l motor and according to Pieter the car is making 300kW. It sits on 18’’ Merit Racing wheels with a sorted brake kit and quality Bilstein suspension.
