2009 will be a good year methinks, here’s why: On the racing side, I’m expecting to see track days booming with many competitors and entrants. Track days will be the new in thing to do on weekends for those not interested in drag racing. I know our Sport Compact and Sport Compact Street events will be packed because that’s what the people want to see, and the way the last event of ’08 went off; I know people are itching to see big horsepower cars showing off.
I’m hoping that MSA will do more to ensure the safety of drivers at the various events, even if that means canceling events. We’ll be helping out where we can with regards to driver and track safety too. Then there’s the drifting, a time bomb that will explode in ’09. Mark my words, this new sport will be growing in leaps and bounds and we’ll be there to document it all for you. Read more

Personalised plates are not the only personal touch that Shailesh has done to his car, known to all as IC3MAN. His 1.6 Velociti has a nice bag of mods that extend from the sandstone leather interior to the 17’’ chrome MFP wheels on a 40mm drop. Not willing to stop there and keen to give the car some punch he did a few motor mods to make it run better. These kicked off with the common branch and 57mm pipe and an expensive BMC CDA induction system.
