Attacking from the rear!

img_8801So my trusty little side-kick Andy, who is always on the look out for out of the ordinary (and sometimes out of the way) photo shoots came across this truly awesome Mk1 all the way out in Krugersdorp. It turned out that it was rear wheel drive and had been treated to a host of wicked mods. We did the shoot in the workshop and were treated to shed loads of coffee, I think that this contributed to shed loads of wicked shots too.

img_7160The crew at Moniers in the far South of Johannesburg are well known for creating some of the wildest and really well put together vehicles around. Neeresh had seen this Vito and was understandably blown away and set up a shoot. On the day we had set out to meet in Lens at around 9:30 in the morning. The weather wasn’t going to have that though. It rained persistently throughout the morning so a change in venue was soon sorted out.

Readers ride of the month: Polo

May 19, 2009 by amish · 8 Comments

polowebI think enough people have realised that owning a TDi Polo in this heat is going to put you at the back of the turbo replacement line. What this means is that we don’t see many of them modified, at least not in the motor sector. This frustration bubbles over into the exterior so they’re usually worth looking at. This one is the 1400cc so it’s actually too small to modify even if you wanted to. Read more

cover93 On Sale: 18 May

Andy always gives me kak coz I give weather reports or rip off Metro on a monthly basis, but I can’t help it. With a chunk of metal in my leg, I’m a human thermometer and I can tell when rain or cold weather is on the way. Sorry Andy, but it’s cold and getting colder, my titanium tells me so! Anyway, enough with the cold, we have a piping hot issue to warm you up with a monster Scooby on the cover. Raul Riley certainly knows how to build them, and even make them look very pretty. This is one Scooby I would definitely have in my dream garage alongside my new Focus RS. Read more
