Show and Shine Charity Day

Big Boss Auto will be hosting a show and shine event at their shop at 55 Van Riebeek ave, Alberton north on 3 December 2011 . It will be an open day with everybody welcome to come and join in a day of socializing and relaxing while enjoying the variety of cars to feast your eyes on and best of all you can show off your own pride and joy. They will be collecting toys for charity to donate to children for Christmas .Last year they collected over 500 toys and would like to beat that this year so please join them for the day. Food and refreshments will be available. Open from 08h00.
Kyalami Track Attack – brought to you by BMW Car Club Gauteng

Kyalami racetrack will be abuzz with action on the 11th December thanks to a pretty wicked event that’s taking place. The track will be open for time trials between 09:00 and 17:00 so you’re more than welcome to pitch up with your daily drive and track it in a safe environment. The highlight of the day will be two big races featuring some of the fastest BMW track cars in SA. These guys will be on track at 12:30 and at 15:00 and will be worth watching. Read more
Experience Performance Dyno Day

For a great start to December, the guys at Experience Performance have decided to host a dyno event on the 4th December. It’s their second one and judging from the last one and also from the popularity of the shop, we’re guessing it will be a pretty decent event. They told us: “Our last dyno event was held over the Easter weekend and turned out to be bigger than we had anticipated. We ran 110 cars during the course of the day and drew a gathering of over 1000 people. Read more

This issue has a strange spread of cars from a purpose built Hyundai drag car (that’s what I said!) through to a properly modified Ford Focus RS from the 888 Performance stable with over 400 killerwhales on the front slicks. Well, make that 322 of them if you turn the nitrous off. For most people, that’s a dream hatchback, to this man in Durban, it’s a weekend toy among a collection of potent cars.
Heading to the other coastline we have a pair of Hondas that are part of the Cape Stance movement and when we tell you that these cars are hot, it’s not an exaggeration, there’s some wicked JDM (real JDM!) styling going on too, but the way these things hug the road is what makes them special, stance all the way baby!
