This is what Donavan Anarchy had to say about his car: “I bought the car 5 months ago in a stock form but since then it has undergone a major facelift. I’ve taken out the standard headlights and thrown in a set of smoked angel eyes and a set of smoked fogs to go with it. Read more

I’ve always loved this car and wondered why it never caught on in SA moddin’ culture. It seems that Rashied feels the same as I do and his Honda 160i DOHC sports all the best mods for a car like this. It may not be a power player but the interior, suspension and exterior use the finest of Spoon and Megan Racing ingredients. Read more
Readers ride of the month: Opel Corsa

This is Sashren Santhcoomar’s Opel Corsa and he is 20 years old from Durban.
He bought the car stock and now three years later it looks much better with all the right mods for this shape. Now it doesnít look like an innocent Corsa, it looks mean and scary, ready to give all those KZN no tolerance people hell. The first mod on the agenda was a set of 17″ EVO Friction rims wrapped in 205/40R17 rubber and to make these amazing wheels stand out even more he added a perfect 60/40mm drop. Now the Corsa has the right stance for its little size. The kit on the Corsa is one of the best and it completes the Corsa like no other. Read more
Readers ride of the month: Subaru

Can you think of one Subaru where the owner has tried to give it a cleaner more understated look? If I can’t chances are you can’t either. After looking through the pictures I imagined a long letter of how he bought the Scooby because he wanted to kick some M3 butt or he had a mate with an EVO and they wanted to compare whose had more luggage space. I wanted to know what planet he got the kit from or if Dark Vader pimped his car. Read more
Readers ride of the month: VW Golf Mk2
Derek was on good form when he chose the parts for his Golf Mk2 and left the motor with Sybie Coetzee and the team at Nitro Performance. On the job list was a complete flow of the head and some work on the cams while the bottom end had a set of 83mm Arias pistons. It was also fitted with a front mounted intercooler, a Dicktator management system, ARP bolt kit and of course a big T61 turbo charger. On the dyno the 2000cc 16V motor made 227kW at 0.8bar but the motor should take 2.0bar and this should see it make over 300kW easily. Read more
Readers ride of the month: VW Fox

The popular Fox has long functioned as the bouncer at the nightclub while the Golf and the Jetta are inside drinking up a storm. But if you don’t respect the Fox you’re not getting inside the VW Club. The Fox is special in its own right and its shadowplay has worked to its advantage especially in the eyes of the VW anoraks. Gold wheels are not just for Scoobies, or are they? The whole effect is very HDR, underexposed, over and just right but you keep coming back to the wheels. Who is so brave? His name is Donavan and he’s an avid show and shine participant who is devoted to his pride and joy. He says, “what sets my car apart is the engine bay which I personally customised with chrome covers.” Read more
Readers ride of the month: BMW E30

Shon begged us to put his BMW E30 in our mag and once the money cleared in my account I did just that. Jokes aside, Shon has put in a big effort with the 325i and despite being nearly twenty years old the car probably runs better now than ever before. The reason for the new lease on life is down to a new exhaust system from BMW experts AC Schnitzer and the 2.7 head which is most likely to have come off the 325iS. Read more
Readers ride of the month: Ford Escort
At any car show there’s bound to be a couple of these Ford Escort’s lined up. Sometimes they’re pristine original examples with low mileage having been stored in a refrigerated warehouse, other times they’ve been restored by a new owner to original condition and the rest are fitted with bigger wheels, turbo motors and paint that would not look out of place on the TV show Overhaulin. This car cannot be tied down to one denotative category, it’s a rebuild with a fixed up Toyota motor.
Readers ride of the month: Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla has evolved as much as the can of Iron Brew soft drink. Their design team f@cked off after the first attempt and are now building Toyota Corolla’s in much the same way. People who drink Iron Brew aren’t really your chic and savvy people -sorry Krutch- but they like the taste. Now in this case Wayne Modz (haha) has done the same thing; focused most of his power into the engine while keeping the look Iron Brew. The list of engine mods is an import block, a custom 20v RXi head with 45mm throttles, Dicktator management, Viper branches and Cowley exhaust.
