Gerrit Maritz Car Show Bazaar!

Our resident sales ace and car show fanatic recently attended a car show and fun day at the Gerrit Marritz Hoe’r school in Pretoria North. As you can see by the photos the day was a success with all sorts of activities for the whole family!

MAGP Show Golden Horse Casino.

I recently took a trip to KZN to see what was going on down there with regard to cars and shows. These guys are purely car modding driven and the amount of events and cars down there is enough to keep us busy for eternity. The Sunday I spent at the annual MAGP show at Golden Horse Casino. It is purely a show for modded cars and some of the rides that rocked up were mind blowing. Big up to the organisers for an awesome show.

SC Round two!

The second round of Sport Compact 2011 took place at Tarlton international raceway on Sunday the 29th of May. needless to say the turnout was great both spectator and competitor wise and the excellent traction provided loads of excellent times and plenty of breakages at the same time.

Drag Racing nationals April 27 2011.

I attended the last round of the Drag Racing Nationals series at Tarlton this Wednesday the 27th of April. To my surprise there were some of the best looking drag cars I had seen in a long time and some pretty good times were achieved on the day. Take a look.

Desert Wars Walvis Bay!!!

Speed and Sound race team and a handful of other drag racers from Gauteng recently took a trip to Walvis Bay for their annual “Desert Wars” drag racing event. This event has been a huge hit in the past and has always been well worth the trip.

Zoopedup/ Hot stuff dyno day.

Zoopedup and Hot Stuff Racing Developments hosted a dyno day at Precision in Pomona on Saturday the 27th of March. The weather was dreary and the day got off to a slow start but everyone there was in high spirits and eager to see some strong cars on the rollers.

Supadrift Feb 2011!

The Supadrift event took place at the Zwartkops International Raceway this past Saturday the 19th of February 2011. All the usual suspects were there to partake in a lot of slipping, sliding and controlled sideways action. Competitors came from all over the country as well as Mozambique to pit their skills against one another  in what can be described as a well planned, carried out and hopefully what will grow to be a well attended event.

BMW Club Dyno at RGM

The BMW Club of South Africa recently held a dyno day at the RGM headquarters in Randburg. Needless to say the day was run with military precision and a high calibre of cars pitched to go one on one on the rollers.

Let loose at the kart track!

We regularly get out and have some fun with the guys at the office. This time round we thought we’d try our hand at karting and causing a bit of havoc at Randburgs local circuit.! Yup we raised hell.
