Speed and Sound’s very own Purple Turtle did us proud at the Slide Masters event, and while driver Charel Van Biljon may not have finished on the podium, he left a lasting impression on all who attended. He fought tooth and nail for third spot up against David Nell in one of the most memorable battles ever seen. After a spin from both David and Charel left them with 10 points a piece, the crowd chanted ‘One more time!’. The third run left them with five points each and meant that they’d do yet another run, much to the crowds delight. A forced error saw Charel spin and hand over third spot to David but the run will be remembered for a very long time. Well done Charel!
