Joel Silva is one of the founding members of Speed and Sound. Second-in-charge to the other boss, he is renowned for chewing up to thirty Chappies in one sitting and using the mushy pulp as a wax for his hairy back.

He is a cunning linguist and his love for the Honda CRX is second to none. Nobody knows much about the Bat because he sits in his cave most days researching new ideas for his batmobile.

Because Bats aren’t very coordinated he earned a reputation for not being able to perform under the pressures of a race although, according to his wife, he does have one of the most punishing burnout routines both on the strip and at times, in the sack. The Bat’s dietary program of boiled egg has also led to some nasty guano releases.
